Nana was able to come and take care of Brody for 2 weeks post tonsil procedure. He was spoiled rotten with ice cream, popcicles and pudding. What would we do without our favorite loving/giving Nana!?!?!
Nothing like running a "Dirty Girl" 5K in the rain, through the mud then finishing it off with a nice cold beer! While it was a chilly day we had loads of fun seeing who could get the dirtiest of all...
Brody underwent his first major surgery, he had his tonsils and adenoids taken out. He had issues with snoring and was a terrible mouth breather due to the size of his tonsils. Once we met with the ENT he recommend that we remove them as long term it would help with his breathing. We checked in at Children's Hospital and our experience was incredible.
Nurse reviewing with Brody what would be happening today.
Brody choose Dr Pepper fragrance for his mask...interesting choice!
The nurse showed Brody how to move the bed up and down...of course he thought that was cool!
Ready for Surgery!
Recovery...once he woke he wanted Mommy so I hoped in bed with him!
Brody and Cam were invited to do a Radio Flyer wagon photo shoot! The day was super hot (90 degrees with crazy high humidity) and the area we shot in had tons of mosquitoes. Both boys were required to wear fall fashions consisting of jeans and long sleeve shirts. They were both real troopers and we ended up with some great shots!
Grandpa Ed and Grandma Ellen went to the park with us one day, we got there by 9:30 and it was already a toasty 90 degrees, HOT! The boys had fun playing on the equipment, especially the old school merry-go-round, which I think was still there from when I was a child. Brody continued to request "FASTER, FASTER, Daddy"...but i do recall how nauseating that can feel after too long so I encouraged a change to something else! It really was fun to take the boys back to play in the "Square" as i spent a lot of time as a child there!

The old school rocker toy, i swear these are also still here from when i was young
We met up with Pops at the golf course so that Brody and Cam could practice their putting and Brody could drive the golf cart. Brody was thrilled to have his hand on the wheel and drive us around...he's really not one for watching where he's going so it was a good thing he had some help!
We split our time between my Dad's and Mom's so we could see both families. Aunt Steph, Lauren and Andrew made the trip from Lincoln to see the boys and Melinda stopped by too. We missed the Sandals this trip, we'll catch them next time. Below are some snapshots at my Dad and Ellen's house! Lauren and Cam
