Fun at School

Brody has adjusted well to his new room at school. There are so many new fun things to explore in his room and he keeps quiet busy with all his friends. Below are some pictures and a happy gram that the teacher sent!

These first two pics make me laugh, not sure what Brody is doing here other than invading his friends personal space on their stroller walk down the hall.

Love this picture, as you can tell he's loving the yogurt they had for snack time!

Who Needs A Pacifier???

Who needs a pacifier when...you have two big toes you can suck instead!! Seriously, Brody has taken on a new love...his toes. So much that when we are changing him at bed time (when he gets his binkie) he'll spit the binkie and go straight for the big toes. Now I realize that in toddler world your toes are no different than your fingers however as adults we find this attraction quiet odd but entertaining at the same time! I was able to snap this picture the other morning before we got dressed for the day! You can also see here that he's pretty dang flexible!

Welcome Isla Sophia Graham

My best friend Mia and her husband Zum's welcomed Isla Sophia to the word on Monday Feb 22. She was a healthy 8lbs 4 oz and 21 inches long. Mommy and baby are doing great!

Can't wait for Brody to meet his future girlfriend in Denver, I think they will have a wonderful long distance relationship via skype! :)

Congrats Mia and Zum's!!!

OHHH BABY!!!

In September Brody is going to be a BIG brother!! We are super excited that Brody and baby #2 will be 20 months apart, hoping that they are good friends and play well together! :)

I've been feeling good other than SUPER tired at night, I tend to fall asleep on the couch around 8 and move to the bed around 9:30 when Jason wakes me up! I've had some crazy cravings...my most favorite thing right now is grilled cheese and tomato soup. Otherwise I just crave food, nonstop i could be eating, not a good thing for once baby has arrive but i'll worry about getting my pre-Brody body back after that!

As for the sex of Baby #2, we will find out. A girl would be nice to round out the family but in the end all that matters is that we have a healthy baby, boy or girl!! According to Jason there is a Ward family jinx, his mom had 3 boys and #4 was finally a girl...Jack and Dee have 3 girls, could #4 be a boy, don't think they will be finding that out! Jeremy and Amy are expecting Baby Boy #3 this summer, so perhaps #4 for them would be a girl?! And us...we are done at 2...or so we say...unless of course it's another boy and then we might run our luck on #3...time will tell! Right now we are just thrilled #2 will join us in Sept!

BIg Boy

I snapped this picture the other day and when i looked at it I quickly realized how much Brody looks like a big boy and not a baby anymore. Of course with the toddler stage comes all sorts of fun and not so fun things. Some of the fun things include: his giggle is hearty and its quiet contagious, he loves to talk and respond to you, he likes to play ball and is loving books...some of the not so fun things include: tantrums, so it's no surprise that Brody ended up with the worst trait from Jason and I...stubborn personality...so when we have to take something away from Brody or remove him from a situation often times he likes to respond with throwing himself on the floor and proceed to scream, cry and thrown a real fit. The other new thing that's not so fun is he's a bear in the morning, which is a new thing. Now any Ward reading this KNOWS that he got this trait from that side of the family as none of them seem to be big fans of the morning! He wants you to come get him, hold him, give him some milk and depending some mornings he wants to play by himself other mornings just wants you to hold him but you don't even think about a diaper/clothing change for the first 20 minutes. :)

Mickey Ride

For Brody's first birthday he got this sit and push Mickey Mouse toy from Chad and Kristy. Who'd have thought that this little toy would bring so much fun for Brody. He LOVES it...he likes to push it all over the kitchen but his favorite thing is to have you push him while he rides. It just so seems to happen that he likes the rides to take place early in the morning. I mean there is nothing i'd rather do at 6am than stoop over and push Brody around the kitchen and living room. :) He loves it!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Jason and I don't do gifts for Valentine's Day. We don't believe that there should be one day a year where we celebrate our love for one another, we should do it daily! One thing Jason started 4 years ago was making a handmade Valentine's day card, each year he gets more and more creative...well this year...he was over the top. I understand it took him some 2 hours to make my very special card. I must admit I'm feeling a bit guilty since it took me about 10 minutes at Target to find a store bought card for him. Anyway, its so much fun each year to see what he comes up with...so here is this years card...as well as the 3 years past! Thanks Nu!

Belly Laughs

Every night after work Jason and Brody have a fun daddy/Brody tickle session in which, Brody laughs hystertically. You can't help but laugh when you hear him laugh and squeal!

Friends From Texas

My friend Jen and her little boy Jackson came to MN for Brody's 1st birthday party. It was so much fun to finally meet Jackson and to see Jen as well. The weekend was too quick, we can't wait to see them again! Thanks so much for making the trek!!

BIG Birthday Bash!!

Wow, what a birthday party! We ended up with some 22 adults and 11 kids to help celebrate Brody's big 1st birthday! He was spoiled rotten with all sorts of fun toys, clothes and books!

Thanks to all of our friends and family who made Brody's 1st birthday special! Also, thanks to friends and family who sent gifts, that was so thoughtful of you!

Big Birthday Boy!
MMMmmm birthday cake!
The birthday cake turned out so stinkin' cute!!! Right in line with the western theme!

Happy Birthday Brody!

Boy what a difference a year makes, going from that helpless newborn stage to the fun little independent boy that we have today!!

This year has been been a whirl wind but we wouldn't trade it for the world. Seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital having him and now he's a year old. We have enjoyed watching him grow and become a little boy. It's funny to see how both Jason and I's personalities are within Brody, the good, the bad and the ugly! Each day is a blessing and we cherish every moment with our little guy!

We can't imagine life without him, We love you Brody!
