Visiting Aunt Bap & Uncle Ivan
While back in Nebraska we stopped and saw my Aunt Bap (dads sis) and Uncle Ivan at the nursing home. Aunt Bap lured the boys in with M&Ms so she got a lot of hugs and kisses from them.

Playground Fun With Grandpa Ed & Grandma Ellen
Grandpa Ed and Grandma Ellen went to the park with us one day, we got there by 9:30 and it was already a toasty 90 degrees, HOT! The boys had fun playing on the equipment, especially the old school merry-go-round, which I think was still there from when I was a child. Brody continued to request "FASTER, FASTER, Daddy"...but i do recall how nauseating that can feel after too long so I encouraged a change to something else! It really was fun to take the boys back to play in the "Square" as i spent a lot of time as a child there!

The old school rocker toy, i swear these are also still here from when i was young

Nebraska Fun!
We split our time between my Dad's and Mom's so we could see both families. Aunt Steph, Lauren and Andrew made the trip from Lincoln to see the boys and Melinda stopped by too. We missed the Sandals this trip, we'll catch them next time. Below are some snapshots at my Dad and Ellen's house!

Nano and Papo
Growing up I had an extended "family", the Mattox's...Nano and Papo were like my 3rd set of grandparents. I used to spend countless hours at their house whether my parents were in town or not. I just loved being at their house, not to mention Nano was always cooking up something yummy and she had the endless glass of classic coke i always liked to drink from. I have tons of fond memories from my childhood...!
They continue to be very special people in my life, recently Nano has gone through some health challenges so i was thankful i could get back and see her. She met Brody and Cam for the first time and that was very special as well. I wish we could have stayed longer!!

Water Fight With Nana
Nana was sitting comfortably on her lawn chair when Jason encouraged Brody to dump a cup of water in Nana's lap...and then was game on. The boys were having so much fun chasing Nana around the pool and getting her wet!
When we got home I asked Brody what is favorite thing was and he said "the water fight with Nana...she squealed a lot"...it was very cute!

Nebraska Fun!
This is the first of several Nebraska posts!
We had a great time in Nebraska and the boys did incredible for the 10 hour car ride, both Jason and I were shocked as we anticipated the boys would be going crazy. We had lots of DVDs, games and art activities to keep them busy and we only stopped once for lunch and a bathroom break. Hooray for Brody and Cam!
